Jury Application

Join Our Esteemed Panel of International Jurors

The jury is made up of individuals with significant experience in the television and digital media industry. They are selected from all over the world and across all competition categories.

Jurors are either invited specifically by the Rockie Awards team or through an application to join the jury. Your application should include your current title and company, information outlining your experience as well as your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions. Applications are reviewed by senior members of the Banff World Media Festival team. Decisions are final and irrevocable.

Applicants may fill out a jury application form.

Who can apply?

Mid-level to senior level program commissioners, producers, distributors, agents, showrunners, creators and podcast executives within the television and digital media industry are invited to apply.

My company plans on entering the awards. Can I still be a judge?

Definitely! We encourage your company to enter as many entries as you wish. We will do our best to assign you to a category that your company did not enter.

Will I have to travel?

All judging is completed online, and you are not required to travel to participate in judging.

As a token of appreciation for sharing your time and expertise, BANFF celebrates each juror with a recognition campaign and a special mention at the Rockie Awards ceremony. BANFF welcomes jurors to attend the Rockies Gala at BANFF in June, offering a 50% reduced rate on the full festival pass for the entire four-day event where broadcast and streaming media moguls, producers, creatives and industry stakeholders tackle issues and make new connections in one of the world’s most stunning natural landscapes.

When will the judging period take place?

The first online judging period will take place during a three-week period beginning February 2027. Scoring of entries can be completed at any point over the three-week period. A smaller group of jurors will be selected for the second stage of judging that takes place March 2027.

How much of a time commitment is it?

Jurors will screen on average 15-20 hours of content over a two to three-week period. You can judge at your leisure during that time period, however, ensuring you will be able to complete your judging by the deadline provided by the awards team will be paramount.

If you would like to participate in this unique opportunity to view content from around the world and contribute to selecting the best the television and digital media industry has to offer, please fill out the jury application form by Friday, November 27, 2026. Space is limited. Only those selected will be contacted.
