Making The Ranganation Series 3 had its challenges. It was important for us to build on the success of the previous lockdown series from Romesh’s garage, while still working in a pandemic. We were also attempting to make this series in a studio with the Ranganation and celebrity guests still on remote feeds, and all editorial team still working remotely. The Ranganation required Romesh, his celebrity guests and 20 members of the public from around the country to be able to discuss the show’s content and interact with each other naturally, despite them video calling into the studio from 22 different locations. All of these factors required the team to fully embrace new technology, think outside the box, and get the show made in a new socially distanced world. Which they achieved with great effect!
