Made in Oslo is a daring series with original content, about family in our modern times. Themes relevant to us all, yet rarely given center stage are presented boldly and with great authenticity. Alongside the private struggle of infertility, the series addresses politics, human rights, big business and the evolving tech possibilities in this sphere. All perspectives are addressed with seriousness and humor, and a thriller arises from the drama of the everyday. Environmental sustainability was an important ambition for the series, and our green strategy was successfully implemented, both artistically and practically, leading to the production’s certification by the Scandinavian Green Producers Club. The series also had an impact on life beyond the screen. The Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board who evaluates the social and ethical consequences of modern biotechnology are using the series as a teaching tool in schools and universities to discuss fertility challenges in the future.
