Set in the late-1940s Malory Towers follows Darrell and friends at an all-girls boarding school. Its characters, stories and themes resonate with a modern audience providing a warm escapism for today’s hyper-surveyed children. In season three the girls are faced with the dilemmas of adolescence, and come together to support each other. The series beautifully captures the spirit of friendship, sensitively confronts the challenges of growing up and celebrates being a young woman.
