Building on Jim Henson’s original mission statement of having Fraggle Rock help inspire world peace through song and laughter, season two of the acclaimed reboot has the Fraggles facing their biggest challenges yet as they navigate the aftermath of a windstorm that mirrors the real-world effects of climate change, illustrating what the show's producers call “climate hope”: the idea that lasting, positive ecological and social change can only come through the combined efforts of a strong, diverse community. Additionally, season 2 has the Fraggles and their friends address many mental health and interpersonal issues faced by today’s kids with the franchise’s signature optimism and silliness, including: anxiety management, discerning and dealing with misinformation, respecting others, the value of showing vulnerability, and much more. All of these themes enrich the core sense of community that acts as Fraggle Rock’s north star.
