Daniel is facing the very real threat of institutionalization, and we refuse to sit idly by and let it happen. As filmmakers, we’re tackling this challenge the best way we know how—by creating a TV series. Crip Trip explores a range of themes: the complexities of caregiving, the outdated systems disabled people are forced to navigate, the raw realities of road-tripping with severe disabilities, and the heartfelt highs and lows of friendship. It’s a journey filled with humor, struggle, and deeply human moments. We get into fierce chats about inspiration porn. We don't shy aware from acknowledging the camera or the audience. We like to compare Crip Trip to Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas meets Hardcore Logo. It was a quite an ambitious journey to make this - but we are all still friends.
