Film Club is a witty, tender BBC comedy-drama about love, friendship and the films we use to survive. Evie (Aimee Lou Wood), a film-obsessed woman recovering from a breakdown, can’t face the outside world - so she builds it inside her mum’s garage, transforming Friday nights into fully-themed, joyfully immersive screenings. Her best friend Noa (Nabhaan Rizwan) is the one constant in that sanctuary, until life threatens their ritual and forces them to confront what they really are to each other. Co-created and co-written by Aimee Lou Wood and Ralph Davis, the series blends big laughs with emotional intelligence, using cinema as both escape and mirror for anxiety, family chaos and the courage it takes to grow up.
