An official selection of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, TIGERLAND was lauded by critics including The Hollywood Reporter who described it as having, “beautiful animals and a worthy messages.” The film highlights how the tiger population has declined 96% over the last one hundred years due to diminished habitats, poaching and human-tiger conflict. A century ago there were 100,000 tigers roaming the planet but today, as few as 3,890 tigers remain in the wild. TIGERLAND was part of Project C.A.T, a global initiative launched by Discovery Inc and World Wildlife to double the population of tigers living in the wild by 2022. Initially launched in 2016, Project C.A.T successfully secured nearly 2M acres of tiger habit in India and Bhutan.
