The film is a one-hour documentary inspired by Tanya Talaga’s book, Seven Fallen Feathers: Racism, Death and Hard Truths in a Northern City, which was published to critical acclaim in Canada and is now taught in high schools, colleges and universities. The film is the winner of the 'Best Mid-Length Documentary Award' at the 2021 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival.
