The series Zina is about the lives of four Moroccan-Dutch friends, Amal, Lamya, Nisrine and Sophia. Amal is about to get married. But also has doubts. However, the day of the wedding is completely different than everyone imagines possible. Her future husband dies the morning of the wedding in a car accident. From that moment on, Amal feels guilty because deep down she was less in love than she pretended and actually wishes for a different life, apart from the conventions of her culture. But how would you do that if you have met all expectations your whole life?
