Guardians of Tundra, along with the previous documentary of this series The Last Tundra, was well received as many sympathized or identified with the problems portrayed through the screen. The program vividly shows the winds of change blowing over the Arctic tundra – development frenzy and climate crisis – sending a clear message about the importance of environmental protection. In particular, by focusing on the lives of the Nenets children Goria and Grecia and sharing how they’ve grown up in the tundra over the past 11 years, we were able to create a quality production that stayed true to the nature and definition of a documentary.
