In 2022 Bake Off returned as a resounding success with the focus on creating a series of the highest quality as the tent was pitched back at its pre-Covid home of Welford Park. Casting this series was a particular success with a strong group of characters representing all aspects of British baking. Stand out bakers included Children’s Nanny Sandro, West Country supermarket cashier Carole, and Polish native Janusz. The judges, as ever, were Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. Alongside them hosts Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding lead the bakers through bakes, bringing the perfect brand of humour to cut through the drama in the tent.
