Much thought and intention went into the creation of the series, making it one-of-a-kind with broad appeal. It builds on diversity with the show taking place in Ballybug, a place full of bugs with varied cultural backgrounds and family structures, which is celebrated and wholeheartedly embraced by the diverse Ballybug community. The creator and producers worked with first-time child actors to voice all the preschool age characters, their respective characters were developed based on the voice actors’ strengths and storylines were written from interviews with real preschool aged kids. With the help of notable music composer, Darren Hendley, the music within the series is a key element of Lu & the Bally Bunch, encouraging viewers to dance and sing along!
