Created through a hybrid of puppetry, post-animation and textured designs, the world of Beep and Mort is lush and tactile, encouraging its audience to feel as though they could step in and touch it. Featuring high production values, dynamic storytelling, offbeat humour and all-original soundtracks with live instrumentation, the series is made by a team of specialised artists who work across theatre, film and television. Sets are built in largescale and as miniatures for long-tracking shots. The main treehouse set is over 6m high (or 19.6ft)! In 2023, Beep and Mort won the Australian Production Design Guild Award for Best Production Design in a Television Production. It has also received a Kidscreen nomination for Best Live-Action Series in Pre-School Programming and two AACTA Award nominations for Best Children’s Program and Best Production Design in Television. Series 1 and 2 have been acquired by Canada’s WildBrain Television for broadcast on its kids network Family Jr.
