Doctor Suvdaa takes care of about 1,400 people in northern Mongolia. She has no other alternative than to personally visit each of her patients scattered across the frozen terrain. Day and night, Dr. Suvdaa rides long-isolated distances, sometimes up to 200km over several days. There are no roads and no signs as nomadic farmers are scattered across the Taïga. She’s seen toddlers growing up, elderly on the verge of death, women giving birth. This evening, she is called in for an emergency: a baby has an extremely high fever. She puts on her shoes, grabs her medical bag and rides as fast as she can towards the family.
