Introducing, Selma Blair first premiered at SXSW in March 2021 to high acclaim where it received the Special Jury Prize for Exceptional Intimacy in Storytelling. The film went on to receive recognition from other festivals including the Hamptons International Film Festival, where first-time director Rachel Fleit received the award for NYWIFT Excellence in Documentary Filmmaking. The film was also included on the prestigious DOC NYC Shortlist and received nominations for ‘Best Feature’, ‘Best First Feature’ and ‘Most Compelling Living Subject in a Documentary,’ which Selma Blair also received an honor for, at the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards. Both the film and Selma Blair were also recognized for ‘The Unforgettables’ at the 2021 Cinema Eye Honors. Introducing, Selma Blair has a coveted 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has been called “one of the best doc experiences of the year” by David Poland (Movie City News) in addition to positive reviews from the New York Times, LA Times.
