As a public media outlet of PTS, this time around Youth News@PTS has chosen to cooperate with professional child and adolescent psychiatrists to honestly and healthily discuss suicide, while also directly confronting society's fear and taboos. This not only breaks the social misconceptions about suicide, but also allows people who are suffering from suicidal thoughts to be recognized and feel less alone. When the content of this special project was shared on the program's Facebook page, within 24 hours the video was taken down by Facebook for violating “community standards”. Although the video was eventually republished after multiple appeals, the incident demonstrated the fear surrounding this issue and the value of discussing youth self-harm and suicide.
